We can see very clearly where you are heading. That's not the Evernote I and others saw as an innovator and visionary and shining star in its younger (and dare I say smarter?) days. If the corporate philosophy we're seeing today at Evernote were personified, it might be a sociopath-or worse. And why, you might ask, would I give you advice and guidance for free? Maybe because, at this point, I and others like me are now looking at how your actions today are effectively turning significant amounts of our time and money (and sweat equity) over many years into one big throwaway. Seriously, Evernote, you want some free advice about what to do to fix the massive clusterfreak you've created? Contact me. I think Rule #1 has something to do with not trying to fix something that's not broken (and in doing so breaking it and then not being able to fix it and on and on and on). It's not robotics, I know, but there are still rules. It is free to use with monthly usage limits, and offers paid plans. And it's heading for total self-destruction. Evernote is available on Android, iOS, macOS, and Microsoft Windows, as well as a web client. Just like I saw the promise well over a decade ago, I see the trajectory now. It's hard to describe, but it's sort of a combination of nausea, disgust, anger, disappointment, disbelief, and shock at how a company and product with such incredible promise could be so freaking stupid as to throw it all away.

It's like I'm sadly shaking my head with a half-smirk and one raised eyebrow and flared nostrils and eyes rolling back in my head.
